Wren grew up in Arkham Massachusetts with her father (Kevin) and identical, slightly older, twin sister (Robyn). Her Mother had died while delivering them. Kevin was a fair father. Kevin put Wren and Robyn into Krav Maga classes at the age of sixteen. Robyn excelled at it, but Wren just could not get the timing down quite right and begged her father to let her try something else. They finally settled on handguns. Wren and her father went to the range whenever Robyn had Krav Maga practice and even a few times when Robyn didn't. Both Robyn and Wren attended University of Massachusetts for their Bachelor's degrees. Wren than went on to the University of Utah's med school, while Robyn went to the University of Kansas med school. The girls spent every holiday driving to the half-way point
in Colorado. When Wren graduated from college Kevin gave her a .38 revolver. Robyn and Wren found hospitals just a few miles from the Colorado state line in their respective states and continued to meet up in Colorado for holidays or any of their vacations that lined up.
